49er Sailing & Olympic Training

The 49er Full Rig is a two-person skiff, a male Olympic class sailing boat. On the boat, both the skipper and crew trapeze, making it more unsteady and technical, requiring significant effort and focus. Inspired to pursue the Olympic dream, my brother and I started training in the 49er and 49er FX in the summer of 2024. Our long-term focus is on the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028 and in Brisbane, Australia, in 2032. Because of my performance in the Youth 29er Class, the U.S. Olympic Development Program invited Fynn and me to attend training camps with previous and current Olympians to learn new skills and enhance our level. Currently, we are training in Charleston, South Carolina, with our Coach Ian Barrows (Olympic Bronze medalist in Paris 2024), preparing for the Junior World Championship in Medemblik, Netherlands, from July 19th to July 26th, 2026.
